Field Trip to Gettysburg
Attention: Grades 5-8
What a wonderful day April 30th was for those that were able to attend the field trip to Gettysburg. We saw the actual places that we had been studying in the unit of the American War Between the States. Sure, it was a challenge to wake up at 4:45 that morning and get to school by 6:00 but the sacrifice of our sleep was well worth the sites and sounds that would come. I'm sure we will long rememeber the visions that Pastor Gray created in our minds of what happened in that place. It was a holy and reverent experience.
We were blessed to have one of the greatest Gettysburg tour guides among us in the person of Pastor Joe Gray, one of our regular Monday chapel speakers. Thank you Pastor Gray for your time and enthusiasm in making this a memorable day for us.
A special thanks also to the Peters Family, the Huss Family, and Mr. Hale for sharing the day with us.
